Megsie.com is, to wit, the ideal projection of Megan Barry’s actual self. Megan, a noted misanthrope and aspiring (ha!) author, is a twenty-two year old native of Boise, ID. Raised by a family of unnecessarily sarcastic bears in a wilderness community 26 miles remote of Boise, Megan learned to be largely self-sufficient, but, unfortunately, her social skills suffered. Thankfully, the bears were anglophiles, and her education in wilderness living was supplemented by healthy doses of the Classics and a deeply rooted disdain of trashy, pop-culture works of fiction.
Until recently, Megan was pursuing a degree in English Literature and had reached her third year of studies, before choosing to take a break in order to preserve the remnants of sanity that remained to her. In December 2008, she made the decision to move to Seattle, WA and relocated there at the end of March 2009. In Seattle she found a job as an administrative assistant, which she will write about only occasionally in hopes of not jeopardising her employment.
